Megatone Music is an authorized dealer for Big Joe Stompbox Company

Developed in collaboration with Johnny Winter, the Texas Screamer captures Johnny’s signature tone in a rugged, small foot print, 3-knob design pedal. The Texas Screamer is 100% analog with true bypass circuitry. With just 3 basic knobs: Gain, Tone and Output, it is simple to use and easy to get a great vintage, juicy rock tone. The pedal runs on 9v batteries or a 9v regulated line-in power supply and is designed, engineered and built in the USA.

The story goes Johnny tested over 30 pedals before deciding upon Big Joe Texas Screamer design. He really felt like they captured his complete sound.

Johnny's Guitarist/Producer and closest friend, Paul Nelson recounted, “Johnny went through a plethora of pedals before choosing this prototype from Big Joe. It’s a shame he cannot be here to see the realization of this dream. Johnny not only picked out the sound, but he also picked out the product graphic- the dragon tattoo he had on his chest. He approved the final version and was looking forward to having it introduced at NAMM."

The new Texas Screamer pedal gives guitar players that perfect sound when they need it. Many guitarists want to be able to have that sound in an uncomplicated way. With just 3 basic knobs, Gain, Tone and Output it is easy to get a great vintage juicy rock tones.

The Klon has many different faces these day and it runs second only in the most cloned overdrive pedal, first being theTube Screamer. The Klon was created by Bill Finnegan and it was so popoular he was even amazed by the attention. Bill now makes the Klon KTR pedal however guess who built the first run of the KTR Klon? Yep, J. Rockett. The same company that now builds the Archer. Get the picture.

The J. Rockett Archer has the most authentic Klon tone of any pedal since the original.  However, unlike the original this one is built with a smaller foot print allowing you to save the space on the pedal board and it's built like a tank. When picking it up the first thing you'll notice is how heavy it feels. It's solid.

One feature I love about this pedal are the top mounted jacks. I have players all the time asking me if certain pedals can be made with top mounted jacks. Not alot of pedals are built this way but the Arch fits that need.

All in all, there is no denying the sound this pedal produces. A side by side comparision, blind folded, you could not tell the difference. It's got the sound and the best part about it is you don't have to take out a loan to buy to buy one.
